Fresh, Local, Organic,

Fresh, Local, Organic,

Fresh - always straight from being harvested in our fields directly to you.

Local - grown right here on our own land, next door or around the corner from where you live.  You can know where your food comes from, how it is grown, and who is growing it.

Organic - we work in partnership with nature and not against it, relying on natural and biological methods, not on synthetic chemical pesticides and fertilizers.

“What are we going to call our farm?”

That was the question we asked after purchasing our ten-acre property in Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, in 2013. I laughed and replied with a question of my own: “Well… what are we going to grow? You can’t call it a farm if we’re not farming.”

Little did I know where that question would lead.

It didn’t take long before we began expanding beyond our original 20×40 garden plot and the typical summer vegetables we were most familiar with. Year after year, we added more crops - foods we loved to eat and varieties we discovered thrived in the soils and climate of central North Carolina.

Before we knew it, what started as hobby homesteading had grown into what you now know as Garden of the Vods.

Who are the Vods? Well… we are!

Our mission is to steward our land, animals, and our Creator’s perfect design to regeneratively grow fresh, organic food for our family and our community. This dream came to life in 2023 when we opened our farm stand to the public. We believe healthy soil produces healthy food, and healthy food leads to healthy people.
